Junior Accountant

Red Ember Recruitment is seeking, on behalf of our client, a Junior Accountant (SAIPA) to join their team based in Gauteng. This office-based role is suited to a recently qualified SAIPA Professional Accountant who has just completed their articles. The position focuses primarily on preparing work papers and compiling financial statements within a cloud-based accounting environment, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and high-quality financial reporting. Responsibilities Preparation of detailed work papers Compilation of Annual Financial Statements Assisting with financial reporting and compliance requirements Maintaining accurate financial records using cloud-based accounting systems Liaising with clients where required Ensuring all documentation is complete and audit-ready Supporting senior management with accounting functions when necessary Requirements Matric (Grade 12) Relevant Accounting Degree SAIPA qualification (Completed articles – recently signed off) Valid driver’s license Own reliable vehicle Must be based in Kempton Park, Gauteng Skills & Competencies Strong attention to detail Excellent understanding of accounting principles Proficient in cloud-based accounting systems Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and meet deadlines Good communication skills
