Redwood Credit Union is seeking a Consumer Loan Doc & Funding Assistant Manager, who will develop, plan, direct and organize all matters relating to Consumer loan funding team and processes. Oversee the Consumer loan funding and booking of loans originated via indirect (CUDL) vehicle dealers as well as retail Consumer loan channels which include branch, telephone and online applications. This position is responsible for creating and maintaining positive internal and external Member service experiences arising from leading team members to consistently execute legally compliant, efficient, timely and accurate loan funding processes.
 
Key Responsibilities
Operational Management:
o Manage and resolve indirect dealer partner process and service barriers related to loan funding.
o Manage operations for consumer loan funding of all indirect and direct originations, to include daily pipeline management; monitoring of file flow and workloads; meeting expectations, turn times, as well as exceeding internal/external Member service goals.
o Manage and report on all Consumer loan funding inquiries and documentation processes.
o Serve as working funder back-up to all staff reports as required by volume or other reasons.
o Monitor efficiencies and continually look for ways to improve processes, both in terms of procedures and use of the loan origination system to ensure Member service improvements and error reductions.
o Evaluate and adjust Consumer funding procedures and documents to ensure high production efficiency, compliance, and excellent Member service.
o Recruit, select, train, motivate, evaluate and develop reporting team members providing corrective action as needed.
o Provide exceptional service to all external and internal Members, vehicle dealer partners, interested parties and vendors.
o Develop staff by delegating and following through without taking over or abdicating. Utilize RCU programs for coaching, performance reviews, and individual goal setting.
o Quickly recognize operational barriers; analyze root causes; evaluate and consider alternatives; develop goals, strategies, and tactics; and make appropriate decisions and promptly act on as applicable.
o Establish and coordinate team efforts and build consensus, thus creating a cooperative working environment in which everyone has the opportunity to be successful.
o Establish and maintain credibility throughout RCU by being an effective listener and problem solver for employees on all loan funding related issues.
Other Functions:
o Participate in department meetings and projects as requested.
o Participate in community events, community volunteer boards & associations.

  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of Consumer lending methods, practices and services, as well as laws, rules, and regulations associated with indirect and retail auto and RV funding, credit cards and personal unsecured loans.
  • Capable of assertively presenting goals and conceptual ideas in a confident and straightforward manner.

  • Position requires the ability to be a registered and designated Credit Endorsee with the California Department of Insurance.
