The Assistant Director, Revenue Operations Technology leads the Revenue Operations Technology team and is responsible for overall operation, maintenance, and support of key revenue systems for UDX. This role is responsible for the implementation, support and upgrade of critical business applications and system availability. Working with key leadership, this role ensures all systems are monitored and fully operational to support the growth of Universal Destination and Experiences. This role requires extensive technical expertise in point-of-sale systems and processes.

Strategy, Planning, Partnership

  • Facilitate the implementation and support of Point of Sales systems for merchandise and Food & Beverage revenue operations teams.
  • Proactively identify and propose business process and/or system enhancements.
  • Identify gaps or issues and provide work around solutions when necessary.
  • Collaborate with business & technology groups, third party partners to develop & co-create cutting edge technology solutions
  • Implement and support innovative technology capabilities
  • Generate & manage short term/long term execution plans
  • Develop scalable system architecture to enable business flexibility and growth
  • Deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software for a variety of applications & channel solutions; contribute technically to projects
  • Key contributor to annual strategic planning process for assessment of critical resources and financial estimation in support of advancing the organization vision & mission.

Delivery & Execution, Support

  • Manage implementation of large complex IT systems, ensure high quality, performance, and compliance with the information security standards
  • Build & lead a high performing team of technologists to achieve operational excellence to achieve and exceed goals and objectives.

Cross-Team Collaboration, Team Culture, Staff Development

  • Lead and mentor direct reports/team members in day-to day management and administration of UDX digital transformation.
  • Provides clear executive decision-making and priority management; coaches and builds confidence in staff to make good business decisions using technology & analytical thinking.
  • Promote working culture of accountability and technology depth to support Universal’s physical and virtual business aspirations.
  • Drive Universal Culture of team-member satisfaction through effective communication, planning, risk management, and coaching of high-potential candidates at every level of the organization.
  • Work seamlessly with other Digital and Technology & business units to architect and build best in class solutions and experiences.
  • Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Bachelor's degree is required. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Undergraduate degree (preferred) in engineering, technology, analytics or related fields.
  • 9+ years in progressive technology delivery and implementation:
  • 7+ years experience in global large scale/enterprise system implementations; cross-functional/ERP experience; proven success deploying highly integrated complex applications in a food/retail/hospitality industry
  • 5+ years’ experience in a leadership position with complex integration and support activities.
  • Demonstrated technical strategic ability (design to implementation to support) and ability to manage complex technical delivery at a global scale
  • Proven experience building long-term strategic technology partner relationships
  • Demonstrated experience with food/retail application/technology that combines digital and legacy technology stacks; migrations and system modernization experience a plus
  • Experience in executive communication, relationship building and decision making; expert at stakeholder and partner management
  • This position requires frequent domestic & international travel.
