Develops compelling creative, graphic design, visual communication and typography layouts for newsletters, cohort updates and other communication materials.
Supports the Early Careers team to effectively ideate, develop, execute and deliver a wide range of initiatives for Universal Beginnings. Maintains and supports innovation of HR tools, processes, communications, and systems to optimize knowledge and resources available to early careers candidates. Builds and leverages partnerships with HR functional teams and key stakeholders both locally and globally, to promote symphony and maximize effectiveness of UDX Early Career Programs.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Develops compelling creative, graphic design, visual communication and typography layouts for newsletters, cohort updates and other communication materials. Participates in the decision making and supports strategic semester curriculum planning and yearly calendar timelines. Maintains clear and consistent communication with program participants, mentors and stakeholders. Supports SharePoint site upgrades and maintenance.
- →Drives and supports the planning and execution of early careers events and program experiences. Facilitates end-to-end event logistics including scheduling, vendor coordination, catering orders, space reservations, technology setup, materials preparation, and on-site event execution. Hosts information sessions for internal and external partners to generate interest, build awareness, and enhance candidate and participant experience. Tracks event milestones, manages timelines, and identifies opportunities to improve processes and impact. Cross collaborates with NBCU partners and identifies opportunities for effective alignment.
- →Supports both early career program participants and hiring leaders serving as a direct program resource. Engages in the creation and delivery of Early Career Program Information Sessions to ensure participants are consistently and proactively well-informed and business leaders are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to support and develop participants effectively, fostering a positive and productive experience.
- →Gathers and utilizes data and information from various internal and industry sources to continuously recommend and deliver innovative enhancements for early career tools, processes and communications. Supports administrative functions relating to extensions, stipends, and shared email inbox administration.
- →Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
- →Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Communications, or General Business/Project Management field is required.
- 1+ year in Human Resources – Early Careers required, 3+ years of Project Management support, Event Planning, Communication/Training or Business/Professional function is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to manage concurrent planning and execution for multiple program cycles, events, and timelines in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
- Critical/Analytical thinking. Comfortable navigating within technical systems and following complex processes.
- Solid judgment and decision making
- Demonstrates confidentiality and professionalism.
- Strong verbal and written communication at all levels of the organization
- Strong organization, planning attention to detail and multi-tasking
- Independent and self-driven. Strong sense of ownership. Ability to draw conclusions and make recommendations to senior department leadership.
- Able to take work direction and provide regular follow-up.
- Strong partnership, collaboration, and teamwork
- Stays abreast of UDX brand standards and LP standards.
- Proficiency utilizing Adobe Photoshop and Canva preferred.
- Adept at utilizing LinkedIn and other social networks.
