Since 2009, we've been on a mission to bring sustainable fashion to everyone. Named one of Fast Company’s Brands That Matter and winning a Best Carbon Footprint award, we have big goals like being Climate Positive by 2025, Circular by 2030, and pushing the whole industry forward along the way. Our work has gotten love in Drapers and Sourcing Journal, and TIME wrote about how great our CEO, Hali Borenstein, is. Basically, we're saving the Earth and looking damn good doing it.

We're a global brand with 50+ stores (and counting) around the world, and our own sustainable factory in LA. We innovate across categories like accessories, swimwear, and sleepwear, and we reach millions of people with campaigns like this, this and this

None of this work is possible without the incredible people behind it. We're a mission-based company that invests in an inclusive culture, so we can innovate together and ensure everyone has the space to grow, thrive, and belong.

And starting right now, we want to do all that with you.

We are looking for a seasoned and operationally strong accounting leader to join Reformation as Sr. Director of Accounting at a defining moment in our company's growth. As a newly public company with a global supply chain and multi-channel business model, we need someone who has led corporate accounting functions with precision and confidence, someone who knows how to run a clean, well-controlled general ledger, has a solid working knowledge of technical accounting standards, develops high-performing teams, and partners credibly with executive leadership and cross-functional teams on financial reporting and compliance.

This is a senior ownership role focused on the integrity and accuracy of our corporate accounting function. The right candidate brings deep GL and financial reporting experience, a working command of technical accounting standards, strong people leadership, and enough familiarity with inventory and cost accounting to partner effectively across the finance organization. You will not just manage the accounting function, you will elevate it.

  • Prepare and review financial statements, balance sheet reconciliations, flux analyses, and management reports for executive leadership
  • Reconcile and investigate outstanding balances, proactively addressing and resolving discrepancies and variances
  • Support the preparation and review of external financial filings, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with US GAAP and SEC requirements
  • Serve as a key resource for executive leadership on financial results, special reporting requests, and ad hoc analysis
  • Maintain a working command of technical accounting standards, staying current on changes and assessing their operational impact on the business in partnership with accounting specialists
  • Build and maintain a strong internal controls environment, accounting policies, and SOX-ready infrastructure across the corporate accounting function
  • Lead the annual financial audit process and serve as a primary relationship owner with external auditors
  • Continuously improve processes and reporting infrastructure to support accuracy, efficiency, and scalability as the business grows
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, creating a culture of accountability, growth, and continuous improvement
  • Partner closely with FP&A, Operations, Supply Chain, Wholesale, Tech, and Finance to ensure financial accuracy, smooth billing processes, and precise customer invoicing and collections
  • Collaborate with the broader accounting function on inventory and cost accounting matters, bringing enough familiarity to be a credible and effective cross-functional partner
  • Support new business initiatives, market launches, and evolving operational models with sound accounting guidance and scalable financial infrastructure
  • Continuously improve processes, systems, and reporting infrastructure to drive efficiency, accuracy, and scalability as the business grows globally

  • 10 to 15 years of progressive accounting experience, including 5 or more years leading accounting teams at a senior level
  • CPA required; MBA a plus
  • Deep expertise in general ledger accounting, fixed assets, intercompany accounting, and financial reporting in a multi-entity environment
  • Solid working knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting standards, with the ability to assess impact, support technical accounting positions, and partner effectively with accounting specialists on complex matters
  • Demonstrated experience operating within or supporting a public company reporting environment, including working familiarity with SEC reporting requirements and SOX compliance
  • General familiarity with inventory and cost accounting in a retail, apparel, or CPG environment; enough context to partner effectively with the broader accounting team without owning that scope directly
  • A mix of Big 4 or mid-tier public accounting and private industry experience strongly preferred
  • Advanced ERP experience required; NetSuite strongly preferred
  • Strong people leader with a track record of building and developing teams and driving cross-functional alignment at a senior level
  • Self-motivated, highly collaborative, and comfortable operating with autonomy in a fast-paced environment

  • You have unquestionable integrity and hold yourself and your team to a high standard
  • You are a confident and credible communicator who can represent the accounting function at the executive level
  • You lead with curiosity and humility, collaborating without ego and making the people around you better
  • You have built teams before and you know what good looks like at every level beneath you
  • You are energized by complexity and motivated by ownership, not just oversight

This is a rare opportunity to own the corporate accounting function of a high-growth global brand at the start of its public company journey. You will have executive visibility, broad ownership across the accounting function, and a genuine seat at the table on financial reporting strategy and business performance. You will be joining a finance and accounting leadership team that holds itself to a high standard and genuinely enjoys working together. Cultural fit and peer collaboration are not afterthoughts here, they are part of how we evaluate every leader we bring in.
