About the Role

~1 min read

In this critical sales leadership role, the Sales Manager will help lead and scale the Commercial Team (T3) within our Sales organization. You’ll coach and develop a team of full-cycle Account Executives responsible for driving net-new business across Relay’s suite of products. Your leadership will play a critical role in our growth as you build a high-performing team, deliver against targets, and help small and mid-sized trucking fleets save time and money on the road.

  • Lead the direction and day-to-day strategy across a team of 10 Account Executives.
  • Help drive success across all phases of our sales cycle – from prospecting and business development, to running the sales process and closing new business.
  • Run weekly team meetings and 1:1 sessions across your reps.
  • Own coaching and rep development across your team; you will play a large role in the professional growth and career progression of your team members.
  • Manage performance and set the standards for which your team needs to operate on a daily basis.
  • Own your team’s number and be responsible for weekly forecasting.
  • Recruit and hire talented new team members to join Relay.
  • This position requires you to be in the office 3 days a week (hybrid environment).
  • You have experience and achieved success in an outbound-focused account executive role. You know what it takes to maintain a healthy pipeline while closing new deals.
  • You have at least 1 year of experience as a Team Lead or people manager, helping to coach other sales team members.
  • You are comfortable being effective in a 30-45 day sales cycle, closing 10-15 deals per month.  You do not prefer long enterprise sales cycles lasting 4-6 months+.
  • You are an excellent communicator. You answer questions succinctly and informatively. Your grammar and spelling are error-free.
  • You are a strong problem solver and like creating solutions that chart a path forward through challenges.
  • You know the value of running a dedicated sales process and have experience managing deals using a sales methodology (GAP, Challenger, etc.).
  • You’re able to work onsite at our Cobb-Galleria office three days a week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday).
  • FinTech or SaaS selling experience is strongly preferred.
  • Invent the Future - We embrace the spirit of invention, the idea that there’s always a better way. Together we dream big, fail fast, drive forward, and find creative solutions where others see roadblocks. We prize grit, resilience and speed as we work to transform our industry and to move it into the future.

  • Own the Work - Our work is a source of personal pride and fulfillment. We’re here because we relish a challenge and enjoy the exercise of proactively identifying and solving problems. We understand the power of accountability and are in constant pursuit of “more and better” for our customers, our partners and ourselves.

  • We’re in it Together - We’re all in, committed to, and driven by our shared ambition and vision; we understand that alignment and collaboration are imperative. We set aside our ego to actively sync with one another, becoming greater than the sum of our parts. We are consistently open and generous with information, clear, concise and direct in our communication.
  • This is a game-changing chance to join one of Atlanta’s best-funded, most well-positioned fintech start-ups.
  • We are generously sharing equity in the company - everyone’s an owner!
  • We invest in your future with our 401K match program and dedicated personal/professional development funds.
  • Do what’s best for your mental, physical and emotional health with our “Unlimited/Be Reasonable” PTO policy.
  • We offer competitive benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance.
  • And lots, lots more!
