Transport Endorsement Underwriter

Summary

At Revau, we are reimagining transportation insurance through a modern, collaborative, and value-driven approach. We are seeking a Transport Endorsement Underwriter who is looking to develop their expertise in risk analysis, broker service, and policy endorsement management. You will join a growing organization where your contribution will have a direct impact on the experience of our broker partners and the quality of service provided to our transportation clients.

Reporting to the AVP – Transport, you will be primarily responsible for processing and analyzing endorsements for transport policies in the rest of Canada. Based on operational needs, you may also provide support to the team in the rest of Canada, particularly as business continues to grow across Canada.

You will work closely with underwriting teams, broker partners, and various stakeholders to deliver tailored solutions that meet insureds’ needs while adhering to underwriting guidelines and profitability objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Endorsements and Policy Modifications

• Analyze and process transportation insurance policy change requests.

• Assess the impact of requested changes and determine the appropriate coverage and pricing adjustments.

• Ensure broker requests are handled in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.

• Properly document underwriting decisions and maintain file integrity.

• Collaborate with underwriters and operations teams to provide efficient service and a high-quality client experience.

• Adhere to partner carrier underwriting guidelines and internal company policies.

Support for Underwriting Activities

• Participate in the review of select renewal accounts when required.

• Obtain necessary approvals for files requiring referral.

• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiency efforts.

• Drive the growth of the Canadian transportation portfolio.

Candidate Profile

• One year or more of experience in property and casualty insurance, underwriting, broker service, or a related role.

• Experience processing policy endorsements, policy administration, or underwriting is considered a strong asset.

• Knowledge of automobile insurance and/or commercial insurance is an asset.

• Strong interest in analysis, operations, and detail-oriented work.

• Excellent organizational, follow-up, and prioritization skills.

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in file handling.
• Ability to thrive in a dynamic and growing environment.
• Candidates from the brokerage industry, particularly those with transportation or trucking experience who wish to transition to the insurer side of the business, are encouraged to apply.
