→Maintain a professional relationship with physicians, their office staff, co-workers and other hospital personnel.
→Schedule surgical procedures with the anesthesiologist, physician, their office or through the nursing units within the hospital according to the limitation of the hospital and/or anesthesia and surgery capacity.
→Facilitate briefs, huddles and debriefs when necessary.
→Actively scan and assess situational elements to gain information, understanding, or maintain awareness to support functioning of the team.
→Identify and obtain necessary information about the patient for scheduling purposes.
→Enter and review operating room charges into electronic system.
→Monitor physician preference cards for noted changes and submit to the designated coordinator.
→Identify additional resources needed for procedures and communicate this information to the necessary team members as soon as possible.
→Precept additional staff members in the operations of the scheduling office when necessary.
→Verifies information that is communicated and seek information from all available resources.
→Other duties as assigned.
