As a Rocketship Family Recruiter, your mission will be to share the exciting opportunities available for elementary-aged students at Rocketship Public Schools in Wisconsin, serving the Northside and Southside of Milwaukee. You’ll be the enthusiastic voice and face of Rocketship, inspiring families with the possibilities our schools offer.
This role is ideal for an outgoing, charismatic, and community-oriented individual who thrives on meaningful conversations and enjoys engaging families throughout the community. The Family Recruiter will attend community events, family events, youth sports games, local businesses, and other high-traffic locations to connect with prospective families and support student enrollment efforts.
This is a part-time, results-driven role focused on generating family interest, supporting the enrollment process, and helping Rocketship meet regional enrollment goals. The successful candidate will be expected to support outreach initiatives, maintain consistent follow-up with prospective families, and contribute toward enrollment and community engagement objectives.
Bonus points if you’re multilingual, especially Spanish, as it’s a fantastic asset in our diverse and vibrant communities, but it’s not a requirement.

- A passion for Rocketship’s mission to eliminate the achievement gap and a belief that all students can achieve academic success
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills
- Outgoing and comfortable engaging with families and community members in public settings
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong PC-based computer skills and ability to learn new computer programs quickly
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in sensitive situations
- Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
- Ability to work a flexible part-time schedule, including occasional evenings and weekends based on recruitment and event needs
- Previous experience in community outreach, customer service, recruiting, enrollment support, sales, or marketing preferred
- Spanish-speaking ability preferred, but not required

Compensation:
