About the role

Job Type: Full-time

We're looking for a junior, tech-savvy geoscientist with up to 3 years of experience. The Technical Analyst will join our team in to provide users with outstanding technical support and training for our products, including StarSteer. The ideal candidate should have a passion to provide technical demos and trainings for our clients. We are looking for a client-focused individual who works well in a fast-paced environment, and who has a technical background in the geosciences.

Responsibilities:

• Provide Technical sales & workflow presentations to clients (online and in person)
• Onsite support and multi-day trainings with clients with some travel required
• Customer Technical Support (phone, email) including possible calls during evenings and weekends
• Supporting our sales team with engaging technical demonstrations
• Tracking of client’s bugs and new features requests
• Other tasks related to all above
  
  

Requirements:

• 4-year degree in Geoscience or a closely related discipline
• Intermediate to Advanced ability with StarSteer geosteering software is an asset
• Strong knowledge of drilling operations and operations geology workflows
• Geologic knowledge of a variety of North American plays and play types is an asset
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken; experience creating and delivering presentations
• Working knowledge of Microsoft office products and Google Docs

Additional beneficial experience:

• Working knowledge of Python
• Experience with geoscience software (Petrel, Kingdom, GeoGraphix, etc)
• Computer science and/or IT troubleshooting experience
• Customer service experience
