Maintain a welcoming, safe, organized, and engaging library environment
Review, organize, catalog, and maintain a collection of mission-aligned literature appropriate for students
Manage and maintain library systems and resources
Assist with selection and ordering of materials.
Work with administration to maintain and responsibly steward the library budget.
Coordinate library volunteers to facilitate book repair, cataloguing/shelving and student assistance.

Teach basic library, research, and media literacy skills including ethical use of information.
Support students in selecting appropriate and engaging reading materials
Collaborate with teachers to support curriculum through literature and library resources

Foster a love of reading and lifelong learning
Encourage student curiosity through books, storytelling, and school-wide reading initiatives.
Coordinate author visits and literature appreciation opportunities.
Coordinate and schedule two book fairs annually.
Manage receipt of donated books and an intentional redistribution of books to students prior to the summer break.

Actively foster and support Catholic beliefs, traditions and practices.
Reflect the Catholic Church’s teaching on social justice and witness service to others.
Lead and encourage prayer in the classroom.
Attend Catholic liturgical ceremonies (as required).

Prior experience working with or teaching lower-school-aged children preferred.
