Field Administrator - Camp Pendleton
RQ Construction, LLC is seeking a full-time, onsite Field Administrator to support our construction operations at Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton in North County San Diego.
As a Field Administrator, you'll be an integral part of the onsite project team, providing administrative and compliance support that helps keep construction activities organized and running efficiently. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrative professional, or someone with a strong administrative background who is interested in entering the construction industry to join a growing and fast-paced organization.
Position Details
- Pay: $26.00–$30.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Schedule: Full-time, generally 6:00/7:00 AM–2:30/3:30 PM PST
- Hours: 30+ hours per week; adapts to project team needs

The Field Administrator provides essential administrative support to an active construction project located on a military installation. You will work closely with the project team and various stakeholders, handling a broad range of administrative, compliance, coordination, and documentation responsibilities.
Your duties may include:
- Processing Federal certified payroll and supporting related compliance requirements
- Coordinating base access requests
- Managing project vendors and assisting with vendor-related administrative needs
- Requesting and maintaining tier insurance documentation
- Supporting onsite facility management activities
- Maintaining accurate project records and document control
- Scheduling and coordinating meetings and project events
- Preparing meeting agendas and recording/distributing meeting minutes
- Providing general administrative support to the onsite construction team
- Handling sensitive and confidential information with appropriate discretion
- Communicating professionally with customers, vendors, project personnel, and other stakeholders
- Managing multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy and organization in a fast-paced project environment
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, customer-focused, and comfortable managing competing priorities. Strong communication skills, sound judgment, professionalism, and the ability to handle sensitive information are important in this role. We're looking for an administrative professional who can work independently while collaborating effectively with a busy project team.
Required
- At least two years of experience in an administrative position
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, and internet-based applications
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to learn and adapt to new software, systems, and processes
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple assignments
Preferred
- Experience with Oracle and/or LCPtracker
- Accounting experience
- Experience processing Federal certified payroll
- Previous experience in the construction industry
- Fluency in Spanish
