Drilling Apprentice w/CDL - Springfield

Seaboard Drilling, LLC is currently accepting applications for an immediate opening for a DRILLING APPRENTICE with a Class A Commercial Driver's Licence (CDL-A) to be based in our Springfield, Massachusetts office. As a Drilling Apprentice you will support the operation of a test boring rig alongside an experienced Driller. You will assist the Driller with all aspects of drill rig operation and maintenance including soil boring and sampling, rock coring, measuring water levels, installing monitoring wells, installation of instrumentation, carrying and handling tooling, and operation and basic maintenance of heavy equipment including drill rigs, medium duty trucks, trailers and ATVs.

With your CDL license you will contribute to the flexibility of our crews by transporting drill rigs and other heavy equipment to project locations across New England. To thrive in this role you won't need prior experience to learn and be successful - we will train you and pay you while you learn. You will learn about the safe operation of drilling equipment and jobsite practices, sampling procedures and materials handling, DigSafe requirements, and excavation safety. In this role you will travel throughout New England conducting exploration services for all types of construction projects.

Job Requirements

• Full time position, primarily Monday - Friday work.

• Regular travel to short-term work sites throughout New England, with regular overnight stays on weekdays.

• Familiarity working with and around heavy equipment and operations.

• Comfortable working outdoors in all seasons, temperatures, and conditions.

• Occasional night work.

• CDL-A/Class A driver's license.

Education Requirements

High school diploma preferred.
