  • Maintain a smoke-free environment.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license; mileage reimbursement provided for work-related errands and child transportation.
  • Must be comfortable with dogs.

We’re a warm, social family of four with a full household. One parent works full time, while the other is closely involved in our children’s lives and our local community. Between school and athletics, entertaining, and the construction of a second home in South Carolina, there’s always plenty happening. We value a welcoming home and a family life that feels connected, comfortable, and well cared for.

We’re looking for someone who can bring structure to the many moving pieces behind the scenes. We have support in place for cleaning and laundry; what we need is someone to take ownership of the systems, logistics, and details that keep everything on track. This person will become an important organizational hub for the family — anticipating needs, creating order, and ensuring that nothing falls through the cracks.

You’re a self-starter who doesn’t need to be told what to do twice, but you also know how to take direction and execute on someone else’s vision. You’re highly detail-oriented, proactive, and resourceful, with a natural instinct for noticing what needs to be done before being asked. You’re warm and personable, comfortable in a household where conversation flows freely, and know how to build trust with a family. You’re comfortable around dogs, able to juggle multiple priorities, and bring a calm, capable, can-do energy when plans shift. Most importantly, you take pride in following through and genuinely enjoy creating order and making things run smoothly.

We’re looking for someone who can take real ownership of the household — someone with experience building or maintaining systems who finds satisfaction in creating structure, anticipating needs, and keeping the details on track. You’ll be responsible for helping turn the many moving pieces of family life into systems that are organized, sustainable, and easy to maintain. You’ll also have the opportunity to help us build out our second home in South Carolina, developing the systems, routines, and infrastructure that will make it thoughtfully organized and easy to run from the ground up. If you find that kind of blank-slate project genuinely interesting, it’s an exciting additional dimension to the role.

  • Build and implement household systems that create structure, consistency, and ease throughout the home.
  • Develop and maintain a Home Systems Playbook for the primary residence and, over time, help establish the systems for the South Carolina property.
  • Own the daily household reset, including tidying surfaces, managing dishes, resetting high-traffic areas, and preparing the home for the bi-weekly cleaning team.
  • Proactively manage recurring household maintenance and upkeep, including batteries, light bulbs, smoke detectors, humidifiers, air purifiers, and other routine needs.
  • Keep high-traffic areas organized and functional, including the mudroom, garage, entryways, and family storage.
  • Manage seasonal transitions, including clothing rotations, décor changes, holiday setup and takedown, and related storage.
  • Coordinate donations and ongoing decluttering and organization.
  • Support entertaining and holiday preparation, helping the family prepare the home and manage the details that make hosting easier.
  • Take ownership of organizational projects as they arise, from sports gear and closets to storage solutions and household inventory.
  • Identify opportunities to improve household systems and proactively implement solutions.
  • Own household supply management, including maintaining inventory, anticipating needs, and keeping pantry and household essentials consistently stocked.
  • Manage household purchasing, subscriptions, and recurring orders across retailers and services, including Amazon, Costco, Target, and grocery delivery.
  • Coordinate grocery shopping and deliveries, returns, dry cleaning, gift purchases, and other household errands.
  • Establish and maintain a weekly meal-planning system aligned with the family’s schedule and preferences.
  • Coordinate grocery shopping and specialty food deliveries across multiple sources, including Instacart, local grocery stores, and farm deliveries.
  • Keep the kitchen stocked with ingredients and staples needed for planned meals.
  • Help with meal preparation and cooking as needed, or coordinate with others involved in food preparation.
  • Anticipate busy days, practices, and events when planning meals.
  • Provide daily care for two dogs, including feeding, walking, and maintaining their routines.
  • Administer medications and routine treatments as needed, following established care instructions.
  • Schedule and coordinate veterinary, grooming, and other pet-related appointments.
  • Maintain pet food, medication, and supply inventory and proactively restock as needed.
  • Provide occasional pick-up and drop-off support for the children as needed; this is not a daily driving role.
  • Serve as a trusted, reliable resource when parents are traveling, helping maintain continuity of the children’s schedules and household routines.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors, contractors, and service providers at the home.
  • Research and coordinate maintenance needs, including obtaining quotes, scheduling service, tracking completion, and maintaining records.
  • Coordinate with the existing maintenance team during scheduled visits and follow up on outstanding items.
  • Oversee seasonal preparation of outdoor spaces, including furniture, entertaining areas, and seasonal transitions.
  • As an additional opportunity, help coordinate the setup of the South Carolina property, including organizing details, establishing household systems, and helping bring the Home Systems Playbook to life. This travel/project component is preferred but not required.
  • Partner with the family to maintain and optimize household calendar systems, including Skylight and Cozi.
  • Ensure schedules, commitments, appointments, activities, and logistics are accurately captured and easy to manage.
  • Provide proactive reminders regarding upcoming events, appointments, deadlines, and schedule changes.
  • Assist with coordinating household events and appointments.

Please submit a short intro letter telling us about yourself and why this role is a great fit, an updated resume, and 3 professional references with contact information. Please note: this role requires a background check.
