We are a warm, active family with three young children and two cats who recently moved to the area. While we already have a lot of systems in place, we are still looking for ways to be more intentional with our space. Both parents work full-time in demanding professional careers, splitting time between hybrid home and office schedules, so it can get very busy very fast. We need a reliable, energetic partner to help keep everything moving smoothly and alongside our growing kids. We’re hoping that is where you come in!
We need the most support with childcare and meal prep. However, the right person will have a “no task is too big or too small” mentality, and be happy to jump in to assist in other areas like laundry, errands, and organizational projects. We plan to structure this role to have house management responsibilities in the early afternoon, with a transition to school/daycare pickups and direct childcare as the day goes on.
We value our time together as a family and care deeply about raising kids who are curious, kind, creative, and grounded. The right person will share these values and be excited about the opportunity to grow with us and our kids.
You are an energetic, warm, and creative person. You are organized, resourceful, and happy to pitch in wherever the week takes you. You are intuitive and understand some tasks may need parent input or collaboration, while others can be tackled independently. As childcare and meal prep are a significant part of this role, it is important that these areas genuinely fill your cup.
You light up around kids, but you know how to hold boundaries with them kindly and consistently - you understand that limits around food, screen time, and routines are there for a reason. You are patient and resourceful by nature, and feel confident guiding children to become more responsible around the home. You are a proactive communicator, and prioritize sharing updates about your time spent with kids to parents. You are knowledgeable or curious about child development and sibling interactions.
You sincerely love to cook and enjoy trying new things in the kitchen. You take pride in nourishing a family with healthy, thoughtful meals, and are excited to include kids in this process when appropriate. Ideally, you will have experience with batch cooking. If not, you are curious to learn and try, and can come into this role with fresh ideas.
Most importantly, we place value on flexibility, initiative, and thinking outside the box. We are interested in a long-term, collaborative fit for our family with someone who wants to develop and learn over time. If this sounds like you, we’d love to hear from you!
