SAMY is the global powerhouse leading the evolution of brand communication. We help brands matter in a social-first world through research, creativity, technology, and integrated influencer marketing to deliver impactful, data-driven solutions and drive growth for brands. We’re looking for a Mid-Weight Motion Designer to join our London studio — someone whose primary craft is motion design, with a genuine curiosity for AI tools and the ability to handle basic video editing when needed. Motion is your core language, but you’re not siloed: you understand how your work lives within a broader production context.
You’ll work across a portfolio of major global accounts spanning automotive, outdoor & adventure, sport, luxury, fashion, and entertainment. Projects range from motion-led brand films, animated social content, and title sequences through to integrated pieces where your motion design work sits alongside edited video and occasionally you’ll pick up a cut yourself. After Effects is your primary canvas; Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve is a secondary one you’re comfortable in.
What sets this role apart is the AI dimension. We want someone who’s actively exploring what AI tools can do for motion and video production, not as a gimmick, but as a genuine way to work smarter and push creative output further. You’ll help the studio understand, test, and integrate these tools into our workflows, and bring curiosity and openness to a space that’s moving fast.
You’ll work closely with the wider studio team (Creative Directors, editors, and designers) and contribute to a collaborative post-production culture. There’s room to grow here, and we’ll support that.
Design and build standalone motion assets like animated brand films, title sequences, and motion-led social content.
Partner with Creative Directors and Designers to translate static concepts into fluid, brand-coherent motion graphics.
Seamlessly blend kinetic typography, lower thirds, and composited graphic sequences into edited video projects.
Explore, test, and integrate generative visuals and AI-assisted animation into the studio pipeline to add genuine value.
Share AI findings, demos, and new approaches to foster a studio culture engaged with emerging technologies.
Handle basic editing, assembly, and delivery while adapting content across various formats and aspect ratios for digital platforms.
Collaborate with the post-production team on workflows (VFX, grading, sound) while maintaining strict project organization and file hygiene
Execute basic audio mixing, sound cleanup, and simple color corrections/LUT applications to bring cuts to a deliverable state.
Build motion assets for video integration while enforcing non-negotiable file organization and asset library management.
Take creative briefs, communicate clearly with the wider team, flag blockers early, and iterate efficiently on feedback.
Contribute motion-driven ideas early in the creative treatment process while remaining proactive, positive, and open to feedback.
