As we expand in the Bay Area, we are seeking an experienced Security Technician IV to serve as a senior, field-based technical leader supporting complex security system installations. This role blends hands-on expert installation work with onsite leadership and project execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to SAS quality standards.
As a Security Technician IV, you will act as the senior technical authority on job sites, guide installation teams, and partner closely with Project Managers to deliver high-quality solutions and exceptional customer outcomes.

What You’ll Do
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
- Plan and coordinate security system installations across assigned projects
- Lead and supervise installation technicians to ensure scope, schedule, and quality objectives are met
- Drive project completion on time and within budget while maintaining company standards
- Serve as the senior technical authority on job sites and support Project Managers with execution strategies
- Perform advanced, hands-on installation of security systems, including work completed personally and by supervised teams
- Ability to perform neat door hardware and component installations with occasional assistance as needed.
- Ensure all devices and systems are installed cleanly, correctly, and to SAS standards
- Participate in the basic programming and commissioning of Intrusion, Access Control and Camera systems
- Validate system functionality, workmanship quality, and compliance before project closeout
- Identify and resolve complex technical issues that arise during installation
- Establish accurate installation timelines and task sequencing for assigned teams
- Ensure installation work is completed within expected timeframes without sacrificing quality
- Proactively identify risks that could impact schedule, budget, or quality and take corrective action
- Enforce best practices to minimize rework and maximize productivity
SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
- Represent the company, its employees, and the work environment with a positive attitude and demeanor.
- Stay current on all SAS company policies, procedures and practices.
- Participate in cross-training programs to enhance versatility and ensure development of career path.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
- Continually observe surroundings and maintain a mindset of vigilance as it relates to the security of the facility.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of security installation experience
- Proven ability to lead installation teams and work independently in the field
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to lift and control up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of security system installation experience
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Working knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Bluebeam
- D-Tools
