The Lead Cyber Security Architect will play a critical role in shaping and delivering advanced cyber security solutions across the Resideo organisation. In this high-impact position, you will drive innovation in security architecture, enabling breakthrough and disruptive technologies while ensuring the protection of our products, systems, and data.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to design and implement cutting-edge security capabilities, embedding security across our technology landscape. As part of this, you will monitor emerging threats and industry trends, proactively anticipating risks and applying innovative approaches to strengthen and evolve our architecture.
The ideal candidate will bring strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities, coupled with deep expertise in security principles, policies, and regulatory compliance. You will be comfortable operating in complex and ambiguous environments, providing clear direction and influencing stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and forward-looking solutions.
JOB DUTIES:
- Act as a thought leader in cyber security, championing best practices and innovative solutions that enhance the organisation’s security posture.
- Monitor and anticipate future security trends, leveraging this knowledge to influence and adapt security strategies, ensuring they remain robust and effective.
- Drive the development of security strategies and roadmaps, ensuring a cohesive and forward-thinking approach to all security initiatives.
- Develop and implement reference security architectures that align with organisational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deploy advanced security controls, ensuring compliance with company and industry standards.
- Act as a mentor, providing guidance and support to junior cyber security professionals in organisation.
YOU MUST HAVE:
- 3+ years of experience in a lead cyber security architecture role or 6+ years of progressive experience in cyber security architecture
- In-depth knowledge of cyber security technologies, frameworks, and best practices.
- Up to date knowledge of current and emerging security threats, techniques for exploiting security vulnerabilities, security controls, and standards & regulations.
- Excellent communication and ability to convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
- Ability to lead indirect reports by influence.
WE VALUE:
- Certifications in security and privacy demonstrating deep practical knowledge such as CSSLP or CISSP.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate diverse groups, help negotiate priorities, and resolve conflicts among project stakeholders.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
