Develop, maintain, and continuously improve SMT manufacturing processes to support Resideo’s operational excellence goals, ensuring high-quality, cost-efficient, and reliable production. This role contributes to meeting customer expectations and business objectives by optimizing performance indicators such as yield, OEE, and scrap, while supporting new product introductions and fostering continuous improvement aligned with the Resideo Operating System (ROS).
JOB DUTIES:
- Develop, maintain, and improve SMT programs (DEK, SPI, Placement, Reflow, AOI) to ensure consistent process performance.
- Optimize SMT lines to meet production requirements, balancing efficiency, capacity, and product mix.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance yield, reduce scrap, and improve overall process efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve SMT process issues, ensuring timely recovery of production.
- Lead cost reduction projects and process improvements aligned with business objectives.
- Support new product introductions (NPI) and transfers, ensuring readiness, compliance, and adherence to timelines.
- Coordinate and oversee maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability and proper operation.
- Monitor and improve SMT performance metrics, including throughput, downtime, and equipment performance.
Requirements
~1 min read- 1+ years in electronics manufacturing experience
- English proficiency
- Microsoft Office
- Technical knowledge of SMT machinery
- SMT line optimization and balancing
- Interpretation of Gerber and CAD files
- Analytical skills
- Convergent thinking (focus on relevant data only)
- Divergent thinking (ability to identify multiple solutions to a problem)
- Maintenance team management
- Ability to work under pressure
