About Us

Scale Tech is a software development agency providing outsourcing, staff augmentation, and end-to-end software delivery for clients across Lithuania and Europe. We are currently looking for a Senior Data Engineer to join the team of our long-time partner - a well-established company in the fintech sector.

Full-time, long-term engagement.
Primarily offered as a B2B freelance contract - this is our preferred cooperation model. That said, if you are only considering permanent employment, we still encourage you to apply, as this option can be discussed individually.
Fully remote work.
Laptop and work equipment provided by our partner.

Take ownership of designing, building, and maintaining the data warehouse and overall data architecture, keeping scalability and performance in mind.

Create and improve data pipelines and ETL processes that serve both analytical and operational needs.

Implement integrations connecting various internal platforms and third-party systems.

Establish and maintain data quality standards and governance practices, including validation and monitoring routines.

Partner with data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to make sure trustworthy data is available for decision-making.

Build and evolve the data infrastructure using Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, dbt, and Apache Superset.

At least 3 years of hands-on experience in a Data Engineer role.
Solid working knowledge of GCP and BigQuery.
Practical experience using dbt for data modeling and transformations.
Strong Python and SQL skills.
Proven track record of building and tuning ETL/ELT pipelines.
Experience with Apache Superset or similar BI/visualization tools.
Comfortable with everyday development tooling such as Git, Docker, and Jira.
Good communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Ability to think analytically and turn concepts into working solutions.
Previous experience in banking or fintech would be considered an advantage.
