Are you a seasoned accounting leader who combines deep technical expertise with a talent for building teams, working hands-on and scaling processes? We're looking for a Director, Accounting & Tax to take ownership of our global accounting operations, tax and treasury, and to build a finance engine that can support Scandit's next phase of growth.

Reporting to the Senior Director, Group Controlling, you will lead our General Accounting, Accounts Payable and Tax & Treasury functions, and act as deputy across the wider Controlling organization. You'll manage and develop a multidisciplinary team, own the integrity of our books, and partner closely with FP&A, Revenue & Order-to-Cash, external auditors and advisors. This is a high-impact leadership role for someone who wants to shape how a fast-growing, international company runs its accounting.

  • Own the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close, including multi-currency consolidation and intercompany accounting ensuring a timely, accurate and well-controlled financial close across all entities
  • Lead, mentor and develop the Accounting and Accounts Payable teams, raising the bar on technical skills, ownership and career growth
  • Own group tax compliance, including corporate income tax, VAT and transfer pricing operations, working closely with external advisors across jurisdictions
  • Oversee day-to-day treasury operations, including cash management, FX exposure and cash-flow forecasting
  • Act as deputy to the Senior Director Group Controlling, stepping in on group controlling and governance matters as needed
  • Ensure accurate and timely accounts payable and vendor management, with robust controls throughout the procure-to-pay cycle
  • Develop, document and scale accounting policies, processes and internal controls to keep pace with the company's growth
  • Perform technical accounting research (IFRS, US GAAP and/or Swiss GAAP FER) and translate conclusions into accounting positions, memos and day-to-day practice
  • Lead the annual statutory and ad hoc audits, ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements in all relevant jurisdictions
  • Drive continuous improvement of our ERP and finance systems, automating manual processes and improving data quality
  • Partner cross-functionally to deliver clean, reliable financials and actionable insight to senior leadership
  • Take a leading role in projects, such as system implementations and establishment-and integration of new legal entities
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting, consolidation and tax, including several years leading and developing teams. Experience working in external audit is a plus.
  • A recognized professional qualification (e.g. CPA, ACCA or equivalent)
  • Strong technical accounting knowledge (IFRS, US GAAP, and/or Swiss GAAP FER) in a multi-entity, international environment
  • Solid tax expertise across corporate tax, transfer pricing, VAT and other indirect taxes, ideally with international exposure
  • Experience owning or overseeing treasury and cash management
  • A track record of scaling accounting operations and strengthening internal controls in a high-growth company, ideally SaaS or B2B technology
  • Hands-on experience with NetSuite (or a comparable ERP system) and other tools such as accounting transformation platforms, P2P transformation platforms etc.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, comfortable partnering with leadership and external auditors and advisors
  • A proactive, process-oriented leader with a continuous improvement mindset, open to embracing the opportunities presented by agentic AI
  • Business fluent English required, both written and spoken
