Portfolio Finance Associate

We are seeking a detail oriented and analytical person to join the team at Schonfeld as a Portfolio Finance Associate under the Treasury team in our Hong Kong office. The team is responsible for the securities lending, financing & clearing counterparty management, capital protection & preservation and other Treasury related aspects of the firm across all asset classes, strategies & regions. You will have a passion for automation and have the drive to enhance our current securities lending and financing platform and help increase the knowledge base of the APAC markets. You will be a team player with the ability to communicate effectively and work well with others across a wide spectrum of disciplines such as portfolio managers, risk, technology and operations.

What you need:

• →Experience of securities lending, demand and/or supply side, swap trading or delta one experience with buy side and/or sell side relationships
• →Understanding of how the APAC markets work
• →Understanding of Hedge Fund Strategies
• →Self-starter with the ability to work independently
• →Desire to develop and own processes end to end
• →Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate and build long-term partnerships
• →A growth mindset
• →Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

We’d love if you had:

• →A major in computer science, math, physics or electrical engineering
• →Prior experience building reporting tools and analytics with data aggregation
• →Experience in R, KDB, GIT, Python, SQL, Linux, Web Scraping
• →Additional language skills (Japanese / Chinese / Korean)
