Responsibilities

Perform general accounting activities, including preparation of journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules, ensuring transactions are recorded accurately in accordance with company policies and accounting standards.

Analyze balance sheet and P&L accounts, investigate variances, and coordinate with stakeholders to resolve open items.

Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end close deliverables while maintaining compliance with internal controls and reporting requirements. Apply accounting knowledge and judgment to support accounting and financial reporting activities.

Identify process improvement opportunities and support initiatives focused on simplification, standardization, automation, and operational efficiency.

Leverage automation and digital tools to streamline accounting processes, improve reporting, and enhance overall productivity.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, concepts, and financial reporting requirements.
Knowledge of US GAAP and ability to interpret and apply accounting guidance in day-to-day operations.
Ability to analyze accounting transactions, identify issues, and determine appropriate accounting treatment.
Experience in General Accounting / Record-to-Report (R2R) processes with a solid understanding of month-end close activities.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
Exposure to process simplification, automation, and digital tools (e.g., Power Query, Power BI, Macros, Power Automate, AI-enabled solutions, or similar technologies), along with the ability to identify process improvement opportunities and drive efficiency initiatives, would be an added advantage
Typically requires 4-6 years of relevant accounting experience.
Ability to work effectively in a global environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams across different geographies.
Self-motivated, adaptable, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
~1 min readBachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Professional accounting qualification or progress toward certification (CA, CMA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is preferred.
Experience working with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Exposure to process simplification, automation, and digital tools (e.g., Power Query, Power BI, Macros, Power Automate, AI-enabled solutions, or similar technologies)) preferred.
