Disability Support Worker – Social Connections (Day Program)

We are seeking a flexible and reliable Disability Support Worker to join our team on a casual basis at our Scope Manifold Social Connections service in Manifold Heights, VIC. This role is ideal for someone who is adaptable, responsive to changing service needs, and available to work weekday daytime shifts as required. The successful candidate will enjoy supporting people with disability to build social connections, participate in community activities, and achieve their individual goals.

About the Role

  • Supporting adults with intellectual and/or physical disabilities who attend our Scope day program
  • Engaging clients in individualised and group programs, hobbies, and interests
  • Activities may include walks and exercise programs, music, art and crafts, sports, games, *swimming support is required
  • Providing personal care respectfully, when and where required
  • Building capacity to maintain and enhance clients’ independence and community participation
  • Promoting choice and control using person-centred, active support practices
  • Following behavioural support plans and NDIS care plans
  • Being a positive role model with an engaging and enthusiastic approach
  • Starting from $35.55 per hour, plus leave entitlements
  • Salary packaging benefits – up to $15,900 tax-free per year

Requirements

  • NDIS Worker Screening Check Clearance
  • Working with Children Check
  • International Police Check (if applicable)
  • Victorian Driver's License
