Scope’s purpose is to create meaningful opportunities for people with disability to belong and thrive.

As the national leader, we support people with physical, intellectual and multiple disabilities to achieve their goals. Scope is a registered provider under the NDIS and delivers a range of services including supported independent living, therapy and employment services in over 420 service locations across Victoria and NSW.

Due to an internal move, we currently have an initial 12-month fixed term contract position leading our Service Transition team within our Client Retention and Acquisition division. You will ideally have existing knowledge of the NDIS sector and possess strengths in continuous process improvement, managing dashboard performance outcomes, whilst coaching, inspiring and leading a small team.

You enjoy building sustainable relationships as much as you do getting into the detail of execution.

The Service Transition Manager leads the Service Transition team to deliver a smooth transition of clients into Scope’s Supported Independent Living (SIL) portfolio.

You will enjoy interacting with diverse stakeholders and possess the communication and relationship skills to thrive in a fast paced, diverse and complex environment.

Some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders (e.g. SDA providers, hospitals, support coordinators, etc.) to support seamless service delivery to clients.
  • Train and/or coach others to develop their business development skills, with emphasis on business opportunity identification and development, cross-service knowledge, sales and commercial acumen.
  • Share expertise, evidence and feedback to inform the development, implementation and ongoing evolution of Client Acquisition and Retention’s plans and priorities.
  • Demonstrated experience in client and/or partner/provider relationship management and conflict resolution. Knowledge of intake processes in healthcare or disability are advantageous not essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and/or negotiate with internal and external stakeholders to deliver outcomes, including stakeholders with diverse communication needs
  • Experience in the disability services sector or similar; or the ability to rapidly adapt to the sector.
  • Has considerable expertise in relationship management principles, frameworks, practices and tools
  • Confidently brings together strategic thinking, rigour and commercial acumen to deliver outcomes in an often complex and ambiguous environment
  • Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including stakeholders with diverse communication preferences.
  • Experience in a not-for-profit organisation/s, or the ability to rapidly adapt to this organisational context.
