Responsibilities
~2 min readReporting to the Senior QA Director (EU), you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and continuously improving our test framework for one of our Vertical Group clusters based in Sevilla, supporting Scopely’s flagship title, Monopoly Go!
In this role, you will oversee both internal and external QA teams, collaborating closely with senior leadership and cross-functional partners to foster a culture of quality across the organization.
You will be instrumental in shaping how we iterate toward success and continuously evolve our ways of working.
- →Define and drive the QA strategy and testing framework for your Vertical Group, ensuring scalability, efficiency, and continuous improvement
- →Champion AI-powered QA solutions and automation to optimise workflows, improve defect detection, and accelerate release cycles
- →Lead QA resourcing strategy, contributing to annual planning and ensuring effective allocation across projects and priorities
- →Build, mentor, and develop QA leadership, fostering high-performing teams and clear career progression pathways
- →Promote a strong “culture of quality” by embedding QA best practices across the full development lifecycle
- →Establish and evolve quality metrics and KPIs, using data to drive performance, accountability, and decision-making
- →Oversee external QA partnerships, ensuring clear expectations, performance tracking, and consistent delivery standards
- →Ensure release quality across Monopoly Go!, proactively managing risks, investigating critical issues, and driving long-term solutions
- →Partner with senior stakeholders to provide clear reporting, risk visibility, and strategic insights
- →Drive continuous improvement in QA tooling, processes, and documentation (e.g. Confluence), ensuring alignment and clarity across teams
- →Contribute to organisational initiatives including performance reviews, compensation planning, and team development
- →Act as a role model for Scopely’s values, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture
- Strong advocate for the use of AI to enhance QA workflows and outcomes
- Proven leadership experience in QA, with a track record of managing and scaling teams in a live service or fast-paced environment
- Strong strategic thinking with the ability to balance quality, speed, and business priorities
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing at senior levels
- Highly organised, with strong ownership and decision-making capabilities
- Experience defining QA processes, metrics, and operational frameworks
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of product impact
- Experience managing external vendors and distributed teams
- Exceptional reporting and analytical skills
- Extensive experience with JIRA or similar tools
- Comfortable travelling occasionally to support team collaboration
