Responsibilities

We expect all Scouts to demonstrate integrity, curiosity, resourcefulness, a growth mindset, and a positive attitude. As a Metrology Technician, you will be responsible for performing dimensional inspections, equipment calibration, and measurement system verification to support manufacturing and quality operations. You will work closely with engineers and production teams to ensure parts and assemblies meet design intent and GD&T requirements. This role requires attention to detail, hands-on experience with measurement tools, and the ability to interpret technical drawings and data.

→Surface Preparation – Sanding, masking, priming, and cleaning surfaces before painting.
→Paint Mixing & Matching – Mixing paints to achieve exact color matches using formulas and spectrophotometers.
→Spray Gun Operation – Using spray guns and other tools for even and precise paint application.
→Paint Application Techniques – Applying base coats, clear coats, and Tutone finishes
→Drying & Curing Processes – Understanding drying times, heat lamps, and baking booths
→Buffing & Polishing – Removing imperfections, sanding, and polishing painted surfaces.
→Body Damage Repair – Repairing dents, and scratches and body defects before painting.
→Knowledge of Paint Types – Familiarity with solvent-based and water-based paint
→Flexibility- Working on the production line and in the paint rework areas
→Quality standards- Understands quality standards for all paint defects and can repair all defects to target specifications
