Purpose: This position is responsible for leading purchasing and procurement activities, ensuring the effective sourcing of quality goods and services at optimal cost, with a direct impact on spending efficiency and overall financial performance.
Primary Responsibilities:
Collaborate cross-functionally with Project Management on new business development programs.
Source, evaluate, and onboard suppliers, including obtaining and analyzing quotations based on cost, quality, and service.
Negotiate and manage supplier pricing, inventory agreements, and performance (OTD, scorecards, SCARs, RGRs).
Review and execute MRP purchase order recommendations for development materials and support inventory management of purchased components and raw materials.
Coordinate product transitions to Purchasing upon completion of development.
Create and maintain part numbers, master data, supply chain records, and the Approved Supplier List.
Monitor market conditions impacting materials and supplier availability.
Maintain customer Material Liability Agreements, as required.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supply Chain Manager.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or GED required; additional education in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field preferred.
Valid identification and authorization to work in the United States.
Minimum of 4 years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
Experience with Epicor or similar ERP systems required.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a customer-focused mindset.
Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to document processes and workflows.
