As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Armed Identity Verification in Jacksonville, FL, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide customer service to transportation personnel, visitors, and contractors by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- →Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor entry records, and direct authorized individuals according to site procedures.
- →Respond to incidents, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel as required.
- →Conduct regular and random patrols of designated transportation facilities, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
- →Prepare accurate reports and maintain logs related to access activity, incidents, and security-related observations.
Requirements

- Have 2 or more years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience, or possess a college degree.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
