We are looking for a Software Engineer – Motion Planning & Control to design and build motion planning and control systems for autonomous vehicles.
This role focuses on building robust, production-grade software for vehicle motion planning and control that operates reliably in complex real-world environments.
The ideal candidate may specialize in motion planning, vehicle control, or optimization, but more importantly, can understand, design, and implement complex, interdependent software components across the entire planning and control stack.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Design, implement, test, and deploy motion planning and vehicle control algorithms for autonomous 4-wheeled vehicles
- →Work with vehicle kinematics and dynamics models to ensure feasible and stable motion
- →Integrate motion planning and control software components with other system layers, such as the perception stack
- →Validate and optimize algorithms through simulation and real-vehicle testing
- →Design clean, maintainable, and extensible software architectures for complex autonomous systems, and implement them in C++
Requirements
~1 min read- Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields
- Experience or strong understanding of motion planning or vehicle control for autonomous systems
- Ability to reason about and implement algorithms under real-world constraints
- Solid proficiency in modern C++ and Python
- Ph.D. degree or 3+ years of experience developing performance-critical software for robotics or autonomous systems
- Familiarity with pipelines for building, testing, and deploying software products
- Strong object-oriented design skills and experience working with large and well-structured codebases
- Experience designing systems where planning, control, perception, and vehicle modeling components are integrated
