Senior Back End Engineer

Seoul Robotics builds autonomous driving systems for factories, ports, logistics yards, and airports. We offer two approaches: a vehicle-centric system, where autonomy runs on the vehicle itself, and an infrastructure-centric system, where the site coordinates and drives vehicles. That lets us automate whole operations, not just one vehicle at a time.

We work with global automakers and industry leaders, including BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Nissan, Hyundai, Mitsubishi, Volvo CE, Mando, LG, and SKT. We are expanding quickly across ports, logistics yards, and airports.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join our team dedicated to autonomous driving technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Go service development, a good understanding of RESTful API design and experience building fault-tolerant, real-time systems. You will play a crucial role in maintaining and expanding the backend responsible for streaming live fleet state to operators and relaying commands to the autonomy stack.

• →Design and implement services in Go, following a domain-driven design.
• →Build and maintain event pipelines between the operator-facing layer and autonomy stack.
• →Define and extend RESTful API contracts that teams can build against with confidence.
• →Deliver real-time state to operators over event-driven and streaming connections, with a focus on robustness and redundancy.
• →Maintain and extend operator-facing data in PostgreSQL through versioned migrations.
• →Maintain and extend service instrumentation so system behavior stays observable as new features land.

• 5+ years building backend services, with production Go experience.
• Experience delivering real-time state to clients over WebSockets, SSE, or gRPC streaming, including reconnection and backpressure handling.
• Experience designing message-driven systems with explicit delivery and ordering guarantees.
• Experience designing versioned REST APIs.
• PostgreSQL, including query optimization and versioned schema migrations.
• Experience building services that degrade gracefully and recover from partial failure.
• Strong English communication and comfort working cross-functionally with autonomy, QA, and operations teams.

• Experience working on large-scale distributed systems.
• Experience working with real-time or streaming systems (e.g. WebSockets or similar).
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana.
• Familiarity with TypeScript and ability to support the frontend team.
