Due to continued growth, we are looking for a Network Transport Systems Coordinator to help drive smarter planning and data-led decision-making across our operational network. Combining systems expertise, analytical thinking and stakeholder collaboration, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate planning data, supporting operational planning activities and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and performance.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the implementation of a major transport planning system, a first for our UK business. As the system becomes embedded, you will have the opportunity to develop into a key subject matter expert, helping shape how the platform is used across our network and supporting its ongoing success.

You do not need to come from a transport background. We are looking for someone who is naturally curious, enjoys working with systems and data, and takes a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Working closely with colleagues across multiple sites, you will help ensure our systems, processes and operational information remain accurate, effective and aligned to business needs.

The role offers a blend of home working, site visits and stakeholder collaboration, with regular travel to operational locations across our national network. This provides a great opportunity to gain first-hand insight into our operations while building relationships across the business.

Learning and using planning, scheduling and operational systems to support day-to-day, short-term and forward planning activities.

Maintaining accurate data across customers, locations, assets, resources and operational plans to ensure system integrity and effective decision-making.

Using Excel, data files and established processes to validate information, investigate discrepancies and support reliable reporting and system updates.

Analysing operational data to identify trends, exceptions and opportunities for improved efficiency and performance.

Developing and reviewing practical plans that balance customer requirements, resource availability, operational constraints and cost considerations.

Comparing planned versus actual performance using key metrics to support continuous improvement and more effective future planning.

Working closely with operational teams and stakeholders to understand business processes and ensure systems accurately reflect real-world requirements.

Travelling to sites and business locations as required to observe operations, validate data, support users and promote consistent processes and best practice.

Identifying opportunities to improve productivity, reduce waste, optimise resource utilisation and enhance service performance.

Supporting system development, testing, process improvements and user adoption activities in collaboration with operational teams, IT and external partners.

Ensuring all plans, processes and activities comply with relevant legal, safety and company requirements, escalating risks when appropriate.

Producing reports, insights and recommendations that support data-driven decision-making and business performance improvements.

We're looking for someone who is curious, analytical and eager to learn. You don't need to come from a transport background; we're more interested in your ability to work with systems, data and people to drive improvements and support business performance.

Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate data and records.

Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and confidence working with systems and technology.

Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to interpret data and produce meaningful insights and recommendations.

Excellent organisational and communication skills.

Collaborative approach with the ability to build relationships across different teams.

Proactive attitude and a passion for continuous improvement.

Willingness to travel regularly to operational sites across the UK.

Full UK driving licence.

Experience working with planning, scheduling, logistics, operational or resource management systems.

Experience analysing data and producing reports to support business decision-making.

Experience supporting system implementations, testing or business change projects.

Knowledge of transport, logistics, operations or supply chain environments.

Experience working with stakeholders across operational, and project teams.

This role would suit someone looking to develop their career in systems, planning, operations, data analysis or continuous improvement while playing a key part in an exciting transport system transformation programme.
