Supply chain Intern

Purpose of the Job : • We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Supply Chain Intern to support our logistics, procurement and inventory management functions. This role offers hands-on experience in supply chain operations, providing exposure to end-to-end processes including warehousing, transportation, and stakeholder coordination. The intern will work closely with the Supply Chain team to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and compliance in daily operations. • Support inventory management by updating stock records, conducting counts, and reconciling discrepancies. • Participate in logistics coordination, including scheduling shipments, monitoring transport, and preparing dispatch documentation. • Help analyse supply chain data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement. • Prepare and maintain accurate reports, spreadsheets, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth flow of materials and information. • Contribute to process improvement initiatives by suggesting practical solutions. • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, safety standards, and ethical procurement practices. Job Specifications: Education • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Work Experience • 0–1-year Experience Any Other Specifications • Strong interest in warehousing, inventory management, and logistics operations. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or ERP software is an advantage. • Knowledge of basic warehouse procedures: receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch. • Understanding of safety and compliance requirements in warehouse environments. • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy. • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks. Job Responsibilities 1. Assist in daily warehouse operations, including receiving, offloading, and storing materials. 2. Support inventory control by conducting stock counts, reconciling discrepancies, and updating warehouse records. 3. Support in checking deliveries against purchase orders and documenting received items. 4. Help organize and maintain warehouse layout for efficiency, safety, and accessibility. 5. Prepare and verify dispatch documentation for outgoing shipments. 6. Monitor movement of goods to ensure accurate picking, packing, and dispatching. 7. Participate in cycle counts, aging stock reviews, and replenishment planning. 8. Reporting Support – Prepare simple daily/weekly inventory reports for review by supervisors. 9. Learning & Process Improvement – Shadow senior staff to understand procurement, logistics, and inventory workflows, while suggesting improvements 10.
