IBM API Connect Engineer

• →Design, develop, and manage APIs using IBM API Connect, including API creation, assembly flows, and product lifecycle management.
• →Configure and maintain components of the API Connect ecosystem (API Manager, Developer Portal, Gateway, Analytics).
• →Collaborate with architects, backend teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into efficient API solutions.
• →Ensure governance, security, and access control through policies, OAuth2, JWT, and other authentication/authorization mechanisms.
• →Monitor API performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize integrations for scalability and reliability.
• →Implement CI/CD practices for API deployment and versioning.
• →Prepare technical documentation, guidelines, and best practices.
• →Stay up to date with integration technologies, API standards, and IBM product updates.

• 3+ years of experience working with IBM API Connect or similar API management platforms.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, API lifecycle management, and integration patterns.
• Hands-on experience with API security standards (OAuth2.0, JWT, TLS, Mutual TLS).
• Familiarity with DataPower Gateway configuration and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in scripting or development using JavaScript, Python, or similar languages.
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Git, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
• Experience with JSON, XML, and API documentation (OpenAPI/Swagger).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally in fast-paced, enterprise environments.
