We’re hiring a Director of Resident and Family Services (LCSW) – a compassionate and knowledgeable leader who supports residents and families through the emotional and psychosocial aspects of aging and dementia.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support residents and families in understanding and coping with the psychosocial challenges of aging and dementia
- →Essential functions include the provision of individual, family and group psychotherapy, with completion of appropriate documentation to allow for billing
- →Promote the community to civic and memory impairment-related groups, reflecting Silverado’s mission and quality of care
- →Establishes open communication with residents and families and receives requests, complaints, and input for establishment of care standards within the community
- →Maintain continuing education through academic studies, seminars, and workshops
- →Participate in in-services, staff meetings, and case conferences
- →Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
~1 min read- Must be a graduate of an accredited school with a Master’s degree in Social Work
- Has achieved the accreditation of Licensed Clinical Social Worker
- At least one year of experience working in long-term care, gero-psych, or related experience with seniors preferred. Knowledge and experience working with residents with Alzheimer’s disease and/or related dementia is highly desirable
- Experience supporting individuals with memory impairment and their families highly desirable
- Ability to bill Medicare for therapy services provided
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required
- Reliable transportation to meet attendance and outreach needs
- Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
- Comfortable working in an environment with animals and pets
- May be required to work outside of regular hours depending on business needs
