Job Description – Site Engineer Position: Site Engineer Location: Singapore Salary: Depends upon experience Experience: 3–6 Years preferred Industry: Construction / Engineering / Infrastructure Position Overview The Site Engineer is responsible for supervising construction activities at project sites and ensuring that work is executed according to engineering drawings, project specifications, safety standards, and project timelines. The role involves coordinating with project managers, contractors, supervisors, and workers to maintain construction quality, productivity, and regulatory compliance. The Site Engineer will also monitor site progress, resolve technical issues, and ensure that construction activities are carried out efficiently. Key Responsibilities Site Supervision & Project Execution Supervise daily construction activities to ensure work is completed according to approved drawings and specifications. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and labor teams to maintain project progress. Ensure construction activities are performed safely and efficiently. Monitor project timelines and support timely completion of tasks. Technical Coordination Interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation. Provide technical guidance to site workers and subcontractors. Resolve technical issues arising during construction activities. Coordinate with design teams and project engineers for technical clarifications. Quality Control Ensure construction work meets project quality standards and engineering specifications. Conduct site inspections and monitor workmanship quality. Verify that materials used on-site comply with project requirements. Maintain proper documentation related to site inspections and quality checks. Site Documentation & Reporting Maintain daily site progress reports and project documentation. Track work progress and update project managers and senior engineers. Assist in site measurements and project billing documentation. Maintain records of materials, inspections, and work activities. Safety Compliance Ensure all construction activities comply with safety regulations and company policies. Monitor workers to ensure proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE). Identify potential hazards and implement corrective safety measures. Support safety teams in maintaining a safe work environment. Essential Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 3–6 years of experience as a Site Engineer in construction or infrastructure projects. Experience in building construction, infrastructure, or industrial projects will be preferred. Required Skills Strong knowledge of construction methods and site management. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documents. Proficiency in construction documentation and reporting. Familiarity with AutoCAD and construction management tools is an advantage. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Good communication and coordination skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure.
