Skillsoft is seeking Principal Sales Compensation Support to design, administer, and monitor sales compensation plans that align with business objectives. This role will manage quota-setting processes, validate incentive calculations, and provide actionable insights to optimize compensation strategies while ensuring compliance and accuracy.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement sales compensation plans aligned with organizational goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of plan rules, eligibility criteria, and payout structures.
  • Communicate plan details and provide training to stakeholders.
  • Support annual and quarterly quota-setting processes and ongoing management.
  • Manage compensation workflows, respond to inquiries, and provide timely updates to senior executives.
  • Oversee commission deliverables to ensure timely and accurate payouts.
  • Ensure adherence to governance policies and audit requirements.
  • Prepare reports and dashboards for leadership on attainment, payouts, and trends.
  • Maintain account and territory assignment details.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or related field (Advanced degree preferred).
  • 4–6 years of experience in sales operations, finance operations, or related fields.
  • Advanced analytical skills with expertise in Excel for budgeting and planning, and ability to consolidate data from multiple systems.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce.com, including navigating standard/custom objects, reports, dashboards, and Einstein Analytics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice to Have

  • FP&A or financial modeling experience.
  • Familiarity with Tableau, Power BI, or other BI tools.
  • Experience with incentive management platforms (e.g., Xactly) is a plus.
  • Proactive with a strong sense of urgency and competitive drive.
  • Independent, entrepreneurial mindset with ability to make independent decisions.
  • Influential, and enthusiastic communicator.
  • Adaptable and embraces change.
  • Collaborative team player, working across various teams within the organization.
