The Opportunity.
We are currently looking for IP Administrators to join our Trademark group. In this role you will perform a variety of trademark prosecution tasks and administrative duties in support of our national trademark practice.
Opportunities are available for both permanent and temporary positions, with temporary roles being a minimum 14-month term. This role is open to both bilingual (French/English) and non-bilingual candidates. These roles will fill existing vacancies.
Responsibilities.
Review technical objections raised in Examiner’s reports, draft suggestions to overcome the objections and report to clients
File responses to office actions, including revision of application and all relevant follow through correspondences
File extension of time requests with CIPO related to examination
Other duties may be assigned or amended as required
Qualifications, competencies and experience.
Office Administration, Legal Assistant or Paralegal diploma, or relevant combination of education and work experience
2+ years of relevant Trademark experience in an office or law firm environment
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to deal directly with clients
Excellent attention to detail, and is highly organized and proactive
Experience using MS Office and has the ability to learn new software quickly
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment
Compensation.
The base salary for this role will be positioned between $63,000 - $77,000 taking into consideration factors such as location, job-related knowledge, prior experience, qualifications, and internal equity.
