Data Center Network Engineer

Join our Network Engineering team at Snapp and play a pivotal role in building and sustaining the backbone infrastructure that powers mission-critical production services across multiple data centers and cloud environments. You will work alongside a talented cross-functional team to design, automate, and continuously improve highly available, resilient network systems at scale.
Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable and resilient network architectures, including modern IP Fabric and VXLAN-based environments.
Automate network infrastructure using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles; contribute to CI/CD-driven network operations workflows.
Ensure high availability, performance, and security across all routing and switching layers.
Proactively detect, troubleshoot, and conduct deep root cause analysis for complex networking incidents in production environments.
Collaborate closely with Security, Cloud, Database, and DevOps teams to deliver reliable and secure hybrid infrastructure solutions.
Produce and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including High-Level Designs (HLD), Low-Level Designs (LLD), runbooks, and change management procedures.
Participate in a 24×7 on-call rotation to support business-critical infrastructure.
4+ years of hands-on experience in network engineering within large-scale production environments.
Strong expertise in modern data center networking architectures, including VXLAN, BGP EVPN, SD-WAN, and IP Fabric designs.
Deep understanding of routing and switching protocols: BGP, OSPF, IS-IS, VRF, MPLS, VLAN, and STP.
Hands-on experience with Cisco Nexus platforms (NX-OS) or comparable enterprise data center switching technologies.
Proven troubleshooting skills across L2/L3 connectivity in hybrid cloud network environments.
Practical experience with IaC and automation tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Python, and REST APIs.
Solid understanding of network security fundamentals: ACLs, segmentation, firewall integration, hardening, and routing policies.
Familiarity with network monitoring, observability, and performance analysis tooling.
Ability to clearly document and communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong ownership mindset, attention to detail, and a structured approach to problem-solving.
Hands-on experience leading or participating in data center transformation projects, such as migrations from legacy infrastructure to VXLAN-based fabrics.
Experience operating and managing multi-region or multi-data center environments.
Proficiency in cloud networking.
Experience designing and maintaining automation pipelines using GitOps or CI/CD methodologies for network change management.
Background in network security engineering or a track record of close collaboration with security teams.
