Reports directly to the EVS|Public Areas Assistant Manager/Manager/Senior Manager. Works closely with the EVS| Public Areas Warehouse Supervisor, Warehouse Attendants, Specialists, and Attendants to ensure streamlined, seamless, and highly productive housekeeping operations. Works closely with the appropriate divisions/departments to ensure that housekeeping operations are well-supported and well-supplied through efficient coordination between offices. Regularly attends shift briefing/debriefing. Conducts briefing/debriefing to staff as needed. Attends inter-departmental/divisional meetings as needed. Thoroughly inspects the hotel public areas and ensures their cleanliness and maintenance; these areas include but are not limited to; Front of the house areas, back of the house areas, ballroom/function/meeting rooms, hospitality suites, staircases/stairwells, restaurants/F&B outlets (non-food/beverage contact), front of the house restrooms, back of the house restrooms, staff lockers/dormitories, pantry areas, park house, perimeter, etc. Thoroughly inspects the gaming areas and ensures their cleanliness and maintenance. These areas include but are not limited to: Gaming suites, gaming pits & areas, table games & chairs, slot machines & chairs, other electronic gaming machines, etc. Keeps up to date, upholds, and enforces all quality and service standards, policies, and procedures for all EVS staff. Constantly reviews existing policies, procedures, and practices to ensure their relevance and adapts them to guest and team member convenience, where applicable. Keeps up to date on the proper handling, operations, and maintenance of all applicable materials, supplies, chemicals, equipment, and other consumables and encourages the same consciousness, adherence, and responsiveness in all staff. Contributes to the development and implementation of training programs for all EVS staff. Conducts training regularly and coaches staff as needed. Ensures the accuracy and fairness of the performance appraisal of staff, as well as the timely discussion. Conducts appraisals professionally and constructively to develop the staff. Ensures departmental and hotel-wide good behavior standards and practices, as well as discipline and harmony in the workplace, are preserved and are aligned with the Team Member Code of Good Behavior. Any irregularities and inconsistencies will be subject to due process in line with the departmental/hotel’s policies, procedures, and guidelines, whichever are applicable. Creates a positive and highly motivated working environment that promotes and develops teamwork. Utilizes and develops communication tools and channels for the proper and efficient dissemination of information and to maximize workflow in the sections. Ensures all materials, supplies, and equipment are in good working condition. Reports defects and any safety issues as necessary. Oversees and acts on the status of out-of-order service areas. Ensures coordination with departments/divisions involved, as well as constant follow-up to turnaround areas as quickly as possible. Maintains and submits a daily log showing assignments, project status, notations on repairs and maintenance items, special cleaning requirements, and all other items that should be brought to the attention of the Assistant. Manager/Manager/Senior Manager EVS|Public Areas. Checks on the cleanliness, maintenance, par stocking, and security of EVS pantry/service areas. Contributes to the preparation of the annual operating budget and forecast. Contributes to the preparation of the yearly CAPEX proposal. Ensures EVS operations are as environmentally conscious and conscientious as needed and where applicable. Ensures the highest level of safety and security by facilitating effective programs that deliver a high degree of awareness amongst staff, including but not limited to Hotel Emergency Procedures, Occupational Health & Safety, etc., and responds accordingly, when and where applicable. Knowledgeable in proper chemical handling and storage. Up-to-date with the corresponding MSDS, documentation, and application, and is compliant with safety requirements at all times. Knowledgeable of all related and/or applicable IFSS and Hygiene rules and regulations and instills the same consciousness, adherence, and responsiveness in all staff. Delivers friendly, courteous, and efficient quality service to all guests and fellow team members. Ensures all guests and team members receive a timely response to their needs. Ensures that the highest standards of personal hygiene and grooming are maintained at all times. Conducts spot checks on staff as needed. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. May assume other duties as may be assigned by superior/s from time to time. Requirements At least college-level or equivalent. A graduate of HRM or any related course is an advantage At least 2 years of experience as a supervisor in the same capacity. Fluent in both oral and written Filipino & English; Knowledge of another foreign language is an advantage. Computer literate and well-acquainted with Microsoft Office programs; Knowledge of Property Management Systems is an advantage. Must have excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills to work in a diverse, dynamic, and fast-paced environment. Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly. Must be able to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations. Maintains a high degree of professionalism in the workplace. Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers, staff, and guests. Must be able to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately. Must possess the ability to train personnel. Must have accountability and take ownership as necessary. Mentally and physically fit and able. Willing to work on extended hours and/or shifting schedules.
