About the Role:
To maintain our financial health and fuel our ongoing expansion, we are seeking a detail-oriented, analytical Bookkeeper to oversee our daily financial activities and reporting pipelines. The Bookkeeper will manage all transactional records, general ledger accounts, and core accounting tasks. Beyond basic day-to-day data entry, you will be expected to analyze financial data to provide actionable variance reports, profit-and-loss insights, and cash flow projections that ensure robust governance and scale.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →QuickBooks Management: Maintain absolute accuracy over the general ledger by managing accounts payable/receivable, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, and expense tracking completely inside QuickBooks.
- →Financial Reporting: Generate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (including Balance Sheets, Income Statements, and Cash Flow profiles) tailored for leadership review.
- →Data Analysis & Variance Insights: Look past the numbers to analyze corporate spending patterns, perform budget-to-actual variances, and provide leadership with clear, data-driven financial insights.
- →Compliance & Tax Preparation: Maintain proper corporate financial records in full compliance with Canadian accounting principles and ensure that all documentation is perfectly organized for year-end corporate accounting reviews.
- →Process Optimization: Continuously optimize billing and invoice tracking workflows to shorten collection periods and improve cash flow efficiency.
Requirements & Qualifications:
- →QuickBooks Expertise: Certified or highly experienced Power-User of QuickBooks Online (QBO) or QuickBooks Desktop.
- →Financial & Analytical Acumen: Strong background in full-cycle bookkeeping alongside an innate ability to perform deep-dive financial analysis rather than just basic ledger entries.
- →Education: Diploma or Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related field. A bookkeeping certification is a distinct asset.
- →Accuracy & Reliability: Bulletproof attention to detail with an uncompromised commitment to maintaining privacy and confidentiality around sensitive medical/corporate data.
- →Experience: 3+ years of experience in professional corporate bookkeeping. Prior experience navigating medical practice billing, healthcare tech, or corporate dental/medical structures is highly preferred.
