About the Role
~1 min readWe are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with strong exposure to Australian accounting practices to support a growing allied health business. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring timely reconciliation and reporting across multiple systems. Australian healthcare and NDIS knowledge is advantageous.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Perform daily bank reconciliations using bank feeds
- →Manage Accounts Payable, including maintaining creditor schedules on a fortnightly basis
- →Manage Accounts Receivable, including tracking and following up on outstanding debtor payments
- →Process daily invoicing of income activity through PracSuite
- →Reconcile income against invoices within PracSuite on a daily basis
- →Monitor and follow up on outstanding debtor balances on a weekly basis
- →Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in Xero
- →Support internal team communication to ensure smooth financial operations
- →Creditors management fortnightly
- 5–8 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally supporting Australian businesses
- Strong working knowledge of Xero
- Familiarity with Australian GST and basic tax compliance requirements
- Experience managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
- Experience with PracSuite (or similar accounts receivable tools) preferred
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage recurring financial tasks
- Proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies
The ideal candidate is a reliable and detail-oriented bookkeeper who understands Australian accounting workflows and can confidently manage daily financial operations with minimal oversight.
This role plays a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining healthy cash flow, and supporting the day-to-day operational efficiency of the business.
