About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with strong exposure to Australian accounting practices to support a growing allied health business. This role focuses on maintaining accurate financial records, managing day-to-day accounting operations, and ensuring timely reconciliation and reporting across multiple systems. Australian healthcare and NDIS knowledge is advantageous. 

 


Responsibilities

  • Perform daily bank reconciliations using bank feeds
  • Manage Accounts Payable, including maintaining creditor schedules on a fortnightly basis
  • Manage Accounts Receivable, including tracking and following up on outstanding debtor payments
  • Process daily invoicing of income activity through PracSuite
  • Reconcile income against invoices within PracSuite on a daily basis
  • Monitor and follow up on outstanding debtor balances on a weekly basis
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in Xero
  • Support internal team communication to ensure smooth financial operations
  • Creditors management fortnightly

 


  • 5–8 years of bookkeeping experience, ideally supporting Australian businesses
  • Strong working knowledge of Xero
  • Familiarity with Australian GST and basic tax compliance requirements
  • Experience managing both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable processes
  • Experience with PracSuite (or similar accounts receivable tools) preferred
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage recurring financial tasks
  • Proactive approach to identifying and resolving discrepancies

 


The ideal candidate is a reliable and detail-oriented bookkeeper who understands Australian accounting workflows and can confidently manage daily financial operations with minimal oversight.

 


This role plays a key part in ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining healthy cash flow, and supporting the day-to-day operational efficiency of the business.
