About the Role
~1 min readOur client is a high-end commercial and hospitality interior design firm working with hotel owners, developers, operators, and luxury brands across the U.S.
The Public Relations Specialist will lead media outreach, PR campaigns, press releases, thought leadership, awards, and speaking opportunities to increase the firm's visibility and position its leadership as industry experts.
Responsibilities

Build and manage an annual PR and media calendar.

Develop PR campaigns aligned with marketing and company initiatives.

Research and pitch U.S. national, hospitality, design, real estate, and business media.
- →
Build and maintain targeted media lists based on journalist beats and current coverage.

Maintain accurate media contacts and outreach activity in HubSpot or PR platforms.
- →
Develop compelling story angles around projects, industry trends, awards, and leadership.
- →
Write press releases, media pitches, articles, Q&As, and thought leadership content.
- →
Create media kits with project photography, bios, quotes, and supporting materials.
- →
Research and manage hospitality and interior design award submissions.
- →
Identify speaking, panel, podcast, and conference opportunities for Executive Leadership.

Track media placements, coverage, reach, and campaign results.
- →
Provide regular PR reporting and visibility updates to Executive Leadership.
Requirements

3–5+ years of hands-on PR, media relations, or communications experience.

Experience with architecture, interior design, hospitality, real estate, luxury B2B, or professional services is preferred.

Strong familiarity with U.S. media and publications.

Exceptional written and spoken English.

Proven ability to write strong press releases, pitches, and editorial content.

Excellent journalist research and media list-building skills.

Highly organized with strong deadline management.

Experience with HubSpot or media databases.

Comfortable using AI and workflow tools such as Claude.

Able to work independently during U.S. business hours.
