Responsibilities

Perform accurate and thorough analysis of credit risk and documentation compliance for all applicants and projects submitted for specialized tax financing.

Underwrite financial files, clear outstanding conditions, and issue official finance agreements to drive files toward approval or denial.

Ensure all processing tasks adhere strictly to program guidelines, corporate policies, and district compliance requirements.

Complete mandatory Identity Verification (IDV) for all property owners of record.

Take full ownership of assigned projects once an application is submitted, proactively driving the pipeline toward NTP (Notice to Proceed).

Interface directly with property owners, contractors, and Regional Account Managers (RAMs) to gather data and resolve bottlenecks.

Review completed projects to confirm the proper filing of local permits, property inspections, and formal lien releases.

Execute Deal Verification Calls (Welcome Calls) with property owners to confirm terms, establish expectations, and maintain data integrity.

Prepare financing agreements and coordinate accurate document execution with property owners, contractors, and specialized signing agents.

Assist in the continuous development and structural maintenance of department policies, SOPs, and procedure documents.

Collaborate cross-functionally with team members, serving as an internal subject matter expert (SME) in underwriting parameters and business workflows to elevate the team’s collective skills.
Requirements

Experience & Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field, OR a combination of education and 2–4 years of direct experience processing, underwriting, funding, and/or managing escrow within the mortgage, title, or financial services sectors.

Industry Frameworks: Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) financing model experience is highly preferred.

Critical Thinking: Proven problem-solving, critical thinking, and independent decision-making skills. Ability to remain calm under pressure and navigate organizational structures to solve complex file anomalies.

Communication & Demeanor: Professional, confident verbal communication skills and clear, concise writing capabilities. Passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience to both property owners and contractors.

Technical Toolkit: High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and advanced PDF formatting/conversions is required. Direct experience working within the Salesforce CRM platform is strongly preferred.

Language: Professional fluency (ability to speak, read, and write) in Spanish is preferred.

File Velocity: Turnaround speed and accuracy in moving raw applications to formal NTP (Notice to Proceed) status.

Pipeline Cleanliness: Effective data integrity, milestone updates, and task documentation within Salesforce.

Quality Assurance: Maintaining a low defect rate on submitted financial packages, permit verifications, and compliance sign-offs.

Stakeholder Satisfaction: Exceptional feedback and resolution metrics on property owner and contractor communication loops.
