Spinnaker Support has an immediate opening in South Africa or India (but working EMEA hours) for a Postgres SDM with strong skills in Customer Ownership and Postgres Solution Architecting.

• →This position is for a technical Service Delivery Manager.
• →Must have excellent customer Ownership and communication, friendly interaction, and a passion to help customers with their software issues.
• →Provide technical expertise required by Postgres support team.
• →Troubleshoot customer under break-fix support : Performance tuning, backup strategy, migration optimizations and DBA activities.
• →Drive customer satisfaction by tracking issues from start to closure.
• →Monthly Customer Review engagements to foster stronger technical relations.

• 5+ years of PostgreSQL DBA experience in a 24x7 production environment
• 1+ Year of Customer Ownership
• BS in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Experience architecting a large-scale production Oracle to Postgres migrations
• Expertise with Postgres system metrics and optimization strategies
• Familiarity with system level metrics and practical use of common Linux utilities
• Understanding of virtualization and clustered environments
• Great communication skills and a passion for both teaching and learning
