Spire Manchester is looking to recruit an ODP/Anaesthetics & Recovery Practitioner, welcoming applications from newly qualified and experienced professionals, to join our warm and friendly theatre team. This opportunity is open to ODPs and Registered Nurses (RNs must hold a recognised Anaesthetics qualification) who are keen to work in a modern, well-equipped private hospital with a varied elective caseload. You’ll be supported by an experienced multidisciplinary team, a positive and collaborative culture, and clear development pathways, making this an ideal role whether you’re beginning your career or looking for your next step.

Responsibilities

  • To provide exemplary planned care for patients and assist in the management and organisation  of care provision in the operating theatre.
  • Prepare the anaesthetic room for surgery in relation to equipment and supplies required for specific procedures.
  • Ensure the Patient Record is completed in a timely and accurate way
  • Perform anaesthetic duties across a range of specialties.
  • Supporting in assessing patient’s health and well-being across a complex and changing caseload
  • Assist in the delivery of care to meet the patient’s needs in an extremely busy department
  • Prepping the recovery bays and of course, looking after patients after their surgery
  • Provide and receive complex, sensitive or contentious information
  • Registered Nurse/Operating Department Practitioner 
  • HCPC registered ODP or NMC (including the Anaesthetic module) registered Nurse
  • Working in teams and with minimum supervision
  • Competence across a range of skills, supported by professional and clinical knowledge acquired through state registration/practitioner qualification and additional training.
