We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Quality Manager specializing in Railroad Track systems to lead our quality assurance initiatives on the job site in Atlanta, Georgia. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality management systems to ensure safety, compliance, and excellence in railroad track construction and maintenance. Your expertise will drive adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements while fostering a culture of quality across all operations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to influence safety standards and operational efficiency within the rail industry.

Duties

  • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality management systems aligned with ISO 9001 standards and industry best practices for railroad track projects.
  • Lead quality audits across multiple sites to ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and safety standards such as FDA regulations, GMP, HACCP, CGMP, and other relevant legal frameworks.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of railroad tracks, including visual assessments and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) analysis to verify adherence to precise manufacturing specifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including engineering, manufacturing, and project management—to establish quality control procedures that support Six Sigma manufacturing principles and lean management strategies.
  • Oversee root cause analysis and corrective action processes for quality issues identified during inspections or audits.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements related to safety standards in rail infrastructure projects by maintaining detailed documentation and records of quality activities.
  • Lead training sessions on quality standards such as ISO, GMP, QA/QC protocols, and regulatory compliance to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Proven experience practicing in an a railroad construction role within the rail or transportation sector with a focus on quality assurance.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards including ISO 9001, ISO, HACCP, CGMP, GMP, FDA regulations, and related legal compliance standards.
  • Demonstrated expertise in conducting quality audits, inspections, and implementing quality systems across complex projects.
  • Proficiency in analysis skills for data interpretation and problem-solving related to manufacturing processes and quality control metrics.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies, Lean management principles, GD&T practices, and project management tools.
  • Excellent team leadership abilities combined with effective cross-functional communication skills to drive quality initiatives organization-wide.
  • Ability to analyze technical documentation and specifications accurately while maintaining attention to detail under tight deadlines.
