The Senior Manager, Commercial will lean into cross-functional collaboration to execute a holistic marketplace management strategy that will include a consumer first mindset, clear segmentation, product franchise management and an omni channel approach.
The Senior Manager, Commercial work closely with Director, Commercial to responsible for three key deliverables: 1) Product segmentation plans 2) channel differentiation strategy and 3) deliver profitable growth in APAC. I.e., driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and enhancing profitability across the APAC region.
This role will require a broader strategic vision, strong leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of the diverse markets and retail landscape within APAC. This role reports to Director, Commercial APAC.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Develops and delivers regional product assortments
- Aligns planning process with sales team, marketing team, global merchandizing, and global product team
- Collaborate with sales team, marketing team and global merchandizing/ global product team regarding retail customers specific planning, strategy, content, and analytics.
- Understands brand, regional and channel priorities and uses the planning process to drive strategic alignment.
- Pulls together resources across marketing, consumer insight and operations needed to improve the profitable growth.
- Aids in the recommendation of SKU assortment priorities, financial guidelines and synergies across channels, customers and brands within area of responsibility.
- Leverages growth driving execution including category management, assortment concept and shopper marketing to deliver comprehensive category growth plans for channels & markets.
- Compiles and analyzes market, shopper / end-user, and channel knowledge gaps.
- Compiles profiles of competitors and channel customers using primary and secondary research and data.
- Gathers competitive and marketplace intelligence and shares with the global team & organization.
- Recommends any new product innovation needs to penetrate new channels/customers.
- Support Commercial Director in making recommendations on pricing and program guidance.
- Collects and analyzes account pricing and distribution for Stanley 1913 and competitive brands.
- Understands retailer & distributor margin and pricing expectations by partnering with Sales team .
- Analyzes and track potential impact of pricing exceptions on channel / region.
- Serves as Channel/sales voice on the development of launch strategy.
- Serves as customer voice in product development meetings.
- Works with Product development team to complete forecast tools.
- Participates in the development of new item launch and training materials.
- Creates customer and category selling solutions for our customers.
- Partner with Ops/Data Analytics team - develops a consistent drumbeat to report sell through data across channels to the organization to inform strategic decisions.
- Partner with Sales team and Ops/Data analytics - create action plans and capitalize on sales opportunities based on the analysis.
- Assist Director, Commercial to build and lead a high-performing commercial team. Provide coaching, guidance, and support to team members to enable them to achieve their goals and maximize their potential. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.

- Proven 12+ years of growing commercial & merchandizing responsibility in product category/ assortment planning across multiple channels and retail accounts both offline/online, channel management, and sales, in fashion apparel, footwear, sporting goods, consumer goods industries
- 5+ years of leadership team experience and regional merchandising strategy development experience within the industries mentioned
- Proven track record of driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets in diverse markets within APAC.
- Strong understanding of cultural nuances, market dynamics, and regulatory environments across the APAC region.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams across functions and geographies.
- Strategic and high levels thinker with the ability to develop and execute complex commercial plans in a dynamic, competitive and uncertain environment.
- Keen understanding and experience of assortment planning, merchandising, and consumer experience initiatives.
- Native fluency in English is a must
- University or four-year college Degree (BA or BS in related field) or equivalent education
