St. Francis Center (SFC), an institution of the Episcopal Diocese of Colorado, was established in June 1983. SFC is a refuge for homeless people in the metro Denver area with a mission to bring refuge and peace for our community members who experience homelessness, helping them meet their basic needs and transition out of homelessness.
The successful candidate will also have experience with collaboration across departments and will be able to demonstrate experience in negotiating outcomes in complex work environments while maintaining communication across areas to inform and motivate partnerships.

Objectives of the role
- Lead the development and execution of Human Resources strategic and annual plans in alignment with the organizational Strategic Plan, goals, and mission;
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and best practices in HR and administration procedures so that they are efficient, accurate, timely, and responsive.
- Manage the corporate insurance policies
- Setting and leading towards a vision for exceptional talent practices at all levels of the organization to meet current and future staffing needs;
- Overseeing employee training and development programs to enhance skills and career growth opportunities.
- Oversee or provide back-up on other matters relating to facilities and administration where needed, including risk analysis and preventative activities related to property and site management, building lease(s), front desk or administrative support, supply resource management and record keeping functions.
- Ensuring compliance with all labor laws and regulations and implementing best practices in HR policies and procedures.
- Collaborating with senior leadership to address workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational development needs.
- Utilizing data and analytics to measure HR effectiveness and inform strategic decisions.
- Promoting diversity and inclusion initiatives to create a culture of equality.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Required skills and qualifications
- Master's degree in human resources, Business Administration, Public Administration, or other related higher educational fields.
- 3-5 years of progressive HR experience or senior leadership role.
- Relevant certification in HR (e.g., SHRM, HRCI, CIPD) or ability to achieve certification.
- Deep understanding of organizational development, employee engagement, successful instruction methods, and change management.
- Strong knowledge of HR principles, practices, and employment laws.
- Familiarity with HR software and systems such as Bamboo HR, EASE benefits platform, and insurance platforms.
- Ability to lead and motivate and collaborate in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
- Understanding diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives, experience with populations with varying backgrounds and languages and best practices for engagement of these communities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and drive change within a company.
- Experience in developing and managing budgets.
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Proficiency in multiple languages can be advantageous.
Compensation and Benefits:
Starting Annual Salary Range $75,000 – $90,000. This is a full-time, Exempt position.
