2026 Summer Intern_Bioinformatics/Biology

LOCATION & DURATION

All internships will be based in our Shanghai office. This internship starts in June 2026 for approximately 10-12 weeks.  This is a full-time (40 hours per week) paid internship.

POSITION SUMMARY

• We are seeking a motivated intern (undergraduate, master’s, or PhD level) to support the development of a web-based platform for clinical data exploration and management.
• The role involves building and optimizing a searchable interface based on existing clinical datasets, leveraging modern web technologies and AI tools to enhance functionality and user experience.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Assist in the design and development of a web application for clinical data search and visualization
• Integrate and structure existing clinical datasets to enable efficient querying and retrieval
• Utilize AI tools (e.g., LLMs, data processing tools) to enhance search capabilities and user interaction
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and iterate on features
• Perform basic data cleaning, preprocessing, and validation to ensure data quality

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor student in Bioinformatics, Data Science, Biology, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience with clinical or biomedical data searching, collection and validation from published sources
• Basic experience in web development and data handling is a plus (e.g., HTML/CSS/JavaScript, Python, SQL)
• Interest or experience in applying AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Codex, NotebookLM, Claude or similar)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
• A full-time student in an accredited program with plans to return to school in the fall
• All applicants must be at least 18 years of age by June 1, 2026.
